With roots in Nigeria’s Edo State and studios in NYC & Pittsburgh, the name "Akogan" traditionally refers to the only mammal capable of true flight: the bat. Growing up, we were often teased and nicknamed "Akogan" for being skinny, hairy, restless, and hyperactive. Today, we've decided to reclaim and celebrate these traits by launching a design movement that embraces and highlights our individuality and vibrant spirit.
